Morgan
Morgan

Class: Junior
Major: Kinesiology and health
Option(s): Pre-physical therapy
Hometown: Keota, Iowa
About me: I grew up on a farm in southeast Iowa where our family raises show pigs for customers around the country. My two sisters and I grew up showing pigs at county, state, and national shows! I played many sports growing up. In high school, I got injured many times from tearing my Achilles’ tendon to my ulnar collateral ligament, thus I went to PT many times. I started my passion for physical therapy from there and I have been immersed in the industry by working as a PT tech at our local outpatient clinic in high school and our hospital during college breaks. I am super excited to be a peer mentor as I hope I can help freshman like my peer mentor did too!

Rozlyn
Rozlyn

Class: Senior
Major: Athletic training
Hometown: Urbandale, Iowa
About me: My name is Rozlyn Elbert and I am a senior majoring in Athletic Training. I have two older brothers that went to the University of Iowa and a dog back home. I grew up in a Cyclone family so I became the favorite by choosing Iowa State (just kidding my brothers are extremely successful and loved the same). I played soccer while in high school and was a basketball and football manager, which is what led me to want to major in Athletic Training. I love Athletic Training because it allows me to always be on my feet and I can impact these athletes' lives in many ways. My plans for after I graduate are still unclear, but graduate school is an option. My future career goal is to work at a big high school and be there for those athletes' early careers/lives.
