Find Your Major

The Department of Kinesiology offers two undergraduate majors for bachelor of science (B.S.) degrees and one combined undergraduate and graduate programs to earn concurrent bachelor of science and master of science (B.S./M.S.) degrees.

Kinesiology and Health – The undergraduate program in kinesiology and health is designed for students who are interested in careers in health, preventive medicine, rehabilitation, human movement, exercise, and sport. Within this major, you may choose from five academic options.
Athletic Training – Are you interested in becoming a professional who can administer preventative services, emergency care, and rehabilitation of injuries? If you answered yes, then athletic training is the major for you. Our program is a concurrent bachelor's and master's degree program designed for students to obtain both degrees in five years.
Diet and Exercise – This concurrent bachelor's and master's degree program is jointly administered by the Department of Kinesiology and the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition and can lead to becoming a credentialed registered dietitian or a certified exercise physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine.
