I was responsible for...
During my internship, I was responsible for running patients through corrective exercises, as well as performing cold laser therapy. I also ran people through sports recovery therapies like cryotherapy, hypebaric therapy, and sports recovery boots.

I accomplished...
I have completed a golf corrective exercise program for patients at our corporate locations of ADT and Tyco I have assisted NFL players and professional athletes with corrective exercises to health improve imbalances in their body that may cause injury. I have created marketing brochures for our company for triathalon athletes, marathoners, and golfers I have worked many hours in our sports recovery center, that includes therapies such Cryotherapy

My most valuable effort...
The most valuable project that I worked on during my internship was my golf corrective exercise program for patients at our corporate locations o ADT and Tyco. The reason that this was so valuable was because it gave me a really good experience for creating a program for average people. It was also good for thinking outside the box.

I learned...
The most valuable learning experience that I encountered during the internship was when Kevin really showed me the marketing side to a sports medicine clinic. Prior to the internship, I knew that it was really important, but I really had no idea how important. Kevin did a great job at helping me realize the importance of this.

I will never forget...
The most memorable part of the experience was when I worked with this one patient named Emma. The reason why this was so memorable was because she was really enjoyable to work with. She was really sweet and was a pleasure to work with. This experience was also memorable because we actual made a lot of progress with her injury.

A surprising discovery...
Something that really surprised me at first was the style of the people down here. During my internship there were a lot of different personalities that I wasn't used to interacting with, and it took me a while to adjust. However, after my internship, I am very confident in my ability to adjust to different personalities.

Advice for others...
I would say that during your internship, make sure to go someplace where you think you are going to have the best ability to grow. I had to go a long ways to find what I was looking for. Nonetheless, I found that doing this was very much worth it. I have learned so much, and couldn't be more pleased with my decision.

I first learned about this career-building experience from...
I learned about this opportunity from a Chiropractor from Ames that knew my boss Kevin. This guy from Ames got me in contact with Kevin, and it ended up working out.

I landed this assignment by...
I did a couple of interviews with my boss Kevin on the phone, and he sent me some emails asking me about what I was looking for

I wanted this experience because...
I wanted this particular assignment because I was looking for a chiropractic clinic that specialized with athletes. There weren't very many near Iowa so I decided to look elsewhere
