I was responsible for...
I lead small groups through exercise, designed workouts, designed and implemented new programs for the club, helped with marketing programs, supervised the fitness floor, and performed various cleaning and maintenance tasks.

I accomplished...
I created a program that is a beginner orientation to the exercise equipment that is at Health Track. The management at the club really like the program and it will still be offered after my internship is over.

I learned...
I learned a lot about how to instruct exercise with only using words and no demonstration. This is a useful tool for someone who is very new to working out. I also learned a lot about how/when to give feedback to clients and how useful of a tool it can be.

Advice for others...
Professionalism is probably the most important thing to remember whenever you are doing anything for your internship. As long as you act professionally, people will be more willing to trust you to do work on your own and give you more important tasks. Asking questions is also very important, if you try to fake your way through things someone will see right through it. Asking well worded questions will make you look a lot more professional and mature.
