Memorial Day Heroes Challenge to support scholarship for ISU veteran students: 8 a.m.-2 p.m., ISU Lied Recreation Center - The Factory Strengths and Conditioning fitness center in Ames is partnering with the Iowa State University Veterans Center and the ISU Foundation to create a new scholarship for students who are military veterans. Participate in a free two-part "hero" workout to honor brave service and benefit veterans. All net proceeds will fund scholarships for Iowa State University veterans. More».

Pitch Me ISU undergraduate student contest entry deadline: submit online - Undergraduate students are invited to share their life-changing, world-shifting ideas in the Pitch Me ISU contest. Claim your 60 seconds of fame, vie for a $1000 prize, and get your innovation featured at the Iowa State Fair. Submit your idea in a 60-second video by June 1. The winner will receive $1,000 and be featured at the Iowa State Fair. More».

ISU Summer Youth Fitness program: 1:10-4:30 p.m., Forker Building - Sports and physical activities ranging from dance to swimming for chidren in grades K-6 with instruction by physical education and elementary education students as well as graduate students in kinesiology. College of Human Sciences Undergraduate Convocation: 2-3:30 p.m., C.Y. Stephens Auditorium - The College of Human Sciences convocation provides special, individual recognition for each graduating CHS undergraduate student who attends. The convocation is a separate event from the Iowa State University Undergraduate Commencement Ceremonies. The convocation will last approximately 90 minutes, and will include comments from a student speaker and Laura Jolly, dean and Dean's Chair of the college. A reception immediately follows, around 3:30 p.m., in the first floor lobby of the Scheman Building. Undergraduate students, families, and friends are encouraged to attend, as are graduate students.
