from outside the department which provides academic preparation
preparing for advanced study in physical therapy, human medicine
and other medical or allied health professions. This option
can also be used as an individualized program of study for those
interested in dance, sports information, sport psychology and
other sport related fields.
Coursework includes:
- biomechanical aspects of human movement
- physiology of exercise
- motor behavior
- sport sociology and sport psychology
- professional course work (includes 6 credits of individually
selected departmental coursework) to strengthen your background
in an area such as athletic training, fitness, or other professional
areas within the department.
- specialization area (includes 26 credits of coursework that
leads to an emphasis outside of the program) For example, the
sciences required for physical therapy school admission may
be met using this 26-credit area.
