Prospective Undergraduates

Welcome to the Iowa State University Kinesiology Department, where an adventure awaits you in five areas of specialization which prepare students for a variety of careers in health promotion and medicine:

Athletic training

Community/public health

Pre-health professions

Exercise science

Physical education teacher education

Here nationally recognized faculty members instruct students and conduct research amid outstanding facilities including labs in athletic training, exercise physiology, motor learning, and biomechanics. Students can supplement their education by participating in professional conferences and field trips and joining a number of related student organizations.
