Summer/Fall 2009 Registration Instructions

Registration information is available through AccessPlus and also on the Kinesiology Homepage at www.kin.hs.iastate.edu. Read through the following information, gather your materials, then see your adviser as indicated below.

INFORMATION YOU NEED FOR REGISTRATION:
1) DEGREE AUDIT -- download your degree audit from AccessPlus. Read the DARS Download Instruction Sheet on the Kinesiology homepage if you do not remember how to access your degree audit.

2) REGISTRATION START DATE/TIME -- check on AccessPlus. Also, watch for any Registration Holds and note the name of the adviser you are to see for registration.

3) COURSE & REGISTRATION ALERTS sheet -- on Kines homepage. Check for course offerings F09 and S10, significant course changes and other important registration information.

4) REGISTRATION ACCESS NUMBER (RAN) – read through the information below to learn how to get your RAN.

OBTAINING YOUR REGISTRATION ACCESS NUMBER (RAN):

SENIORS:
If you have 90 credits AND two semesters or less prior to graduation, see Pat Mize in Rm 203 Forker Bldg any time after MARCH 3 to pick up your RAN …OR … schedule a 15-minute registration appointment with your adviser ONE WEEK prior to your Registration Start Date.

FRESHMAN, SOPHOMORES & JUNIORS:
Schedule a 15-minute registration appointment with your adviser ONE WEEK prior to your Registration Start Date.

NEW TRANSFER or NEW CHANGE OF MAJOR STUDENTS:
You will prepare for registration through the orientation class (Ex SP 253X). Schedule a 15-minute registration appointment with your advisor if necessary.

STUDENTS ON ACADEMIC WARNING or PROBATION:
You MUST see your advisor for a 15-minute advising appointment ONE WEEK prior to your assigned Registration Start Date.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

1) Bring your degree audit when you see your adviser!

2) Register on Time! Hit the ADD button if all sections of a class are closed. These lists will be used to add you to Kin/HS classes where possible.

3) Check the Course and Registration Alerts sheet for important course information you need to know about!

4) See your adviser if there are corrections to be made on your Degree Audit or if you have questions about your schedule.

5) If you will graduate at the end of Summer 2009, you MUST complete the Application For Graduation form and turn it in to Rm 210 Enrollment Services Center (Alumni Hall) by no later than Friday, May 1st!

If you will graduate Fall 2009, complete this form before the last week of summer classes. Download this form from either your degree audit or from the Registrar’s homepage under Forms.
