Iowa State University's Dance Program uses three dance studios in the Forker Physical Education Building on a full-time basis. One of these studios, the Betty Toman Studio Theatre, converts to a 180-seat theatre which is used for lecture/demonstrations, professional and student performances. Many percussion instruments, excellent sound and video equipment, a recording room and a costume room are available for student use.

Barjche, ISU's major dance concert of the year is presented at the Iowa State Center and features both student and faculty choreography and often the work of a guest artist. Campus musicals and productions offer other performing and choreographic opportunities for students.
