I was responsible for...
Setup and break down training equipment for workouts Clean the weight room Stock nutrition bar Complete assigned readings and assignments Weekly discussions with internship coordinator

I accomplished...
My greatest accomplishment was getting the chance to work with the freshman. Coach Link let me take the freshman everyday and teach them technique and put them through their workouts. I learned so much from doing this because Coach Link would provide feedback after the lift to me so I could be better the next day. I learned a lot about coaching and how to teach young athletes.

I learned...
Greatest lesson learned was to read more in my free time. What is the latest way to train and what is the more effective way to train your athletes to gain that competitive edge. You must be knowledgeable in the strength and conditioning world to be a good coach and I believe by reading more I can become a great coach. Also Coach Link told me you don't have to read all about lifting and conditioning, you can dip into different books that might interest you, like for example the book Legacy, which is about a rugby teams culture and he gave it to me to read because it would help me build a culture around athletes in the future.

Advice for others...
Be open minded. I want to be a strength coach for football only, but I was told to keep my options open, so I went and tried basketball and loved it.
