Clipboard Format has Changed

Watch for shortened versions of the Clipboard throughout the year, rather than the lengthy once-a-year version that has been done in the past. Highlighting a few stories at a time will help keep friends and alumni current on all of the departmental happenings. Questions and suggestions can be sent to Carol Cordell. ccordell@iastate.edu

Dr. Tim Derrick - Director of the Honors Program

College of Human Sciences

Dr. Tim Derrick

Dr. Tim Derrick has assumed the position of Director of the Honors Program for the College of Human Sciences. Tim has been very active in the Honors Program, mentoring many students, and was selected as the Outstanding Honors Advisor in 2004. CHS would like to increase the visibility and enrollment in Honors and Tim will provide leadership for this effort. “However, don't think Tim is going away into administration as this is a part-time responsibility and he will continue with his regular role in Kinesiology,” said Dr. Jerry Thomas, Department Chair.

“Congratulations to Tim for being selected for this leadership role. This also reflects very positively on the involvement many of you have had in Honors and that Kinesiology has the largest Honors enrollment in CHS,” said Dr. Thomas.
